Instructions for Authors
Please Note: In light of our shift to the two-column ACM template, we’ve updated our submission guidelines to highlight the importance of conciseness and clear communication. We understand that adapting to these changes may present challenges, and we are fully dedicated to assisting our authors throughout this transition period. Should you have any queries or require further clarification, we encourage you to contact us directly.
Submissions must be prepared following this guideline
Language
The conference language is English, and all submissions must be written in English.
Where to submit
Research papers submissions should be made as PDF files (with all fonts embedded) to the Energy Informatics 2024 EasyChair submission site.
Template
The required template is the ACM Primary Article Template (can be found here: acmtog) in a 2-column-layout. If you have any questions about the template, please feel free to contact info@energy-informatics2024.org. An overleaf template is also available.
Specific requirements
Research Papers
We solicit:
- Full research papers: Ideally, submissions should not exceed 12 pages of content with an additional 2 pages for references. While a maximum of 18 pages of content is permitted, as originally stated, we strongly advise authors to avoid utilizing the full page allowance unless absolutely essential for the comprehensiveness and integrity of the research.
- Short papers: max. 6 pages of content plus one additional page for references
Please ensure the first version of your paper submitted for review does not include author names or affiliations, as our review process adheres to a double-blind protocol to maintain fairness and impartiality.
Posters
The extended abstract should be max. 3 pages long (including all figures and references). The title of the extended abstracts should be prefixed with “Poster Abstract:”. Please use this template, which has been modified from the acmtog template, to ensure proper formatting.
The accepted posters should be presented in A0 (portrait layout) format.
Doctoral workshops
Submissions of this type should show results from doctoral projects. We solicit:
- Long papers with a maximum of 10 pages (references included)
- Short papers with a maximum of 6 pages (references included)
Submission for the doctoral workshops should be made to the Energy Informatics 2024 Doctoral Workshops EasyChair submission site.
Doctoral workshop candidates have the opportunity to present their PhD workshop submission as a poster during the poster session. The poster should be displayed in A0 (portrait layout) format.

Workshop proposals should be submitted by May 12, 2024 via EasyChair (general submission site). Please select “Workshop suggestion” and upload a short description of the planned workshop, including your requirements on infrastructure or equipment (no specific template is required).
