Instructions for Authors

Submissions must be prepared following this guideline


The conference language is English, and all submissions must be written in English.

Where to submit

All submission should be made as PDF files (with all fonts embedded) to the Energy Informatics 2024 EasyChair submission site.


The required template is the ACM Primary Article Template (can be found here: acmtog) in a 2-column-layout. If you have any questions about the template, please feel free to contact An overleaf template is also available.

Specific requirements

Research Papers

We solicit:

  • full research papers: max. 18 pages of content plus 2 additional pages for references
  • short papers: max. 10 pages of content plus 2 additional pages for references

Please ensure the first version of your paper submitted for review does not include author names or affiliations, as our review process adheres to a double-blind protocol to maintain fairness and impartiality.


The extended abstract should be max. 4 pages long (including all figures and references). The title of the extended abstracts should be prefixed with “Poster Abstract:”.

Doctoral workshops

Submissions of this type should show results from doctoral projects. We solicit:

  • Long papers with a maximum of 10 pages (references included)
  • Short papers with a maximum of 6 pages (references included)

Technical workshops

Workshop proposals should be submitted by May 10, 2024 via EasyChair (general submission site). Please select “Workshop suggestion” and upload a short description of the planned workshop, including your requirements on infrastructure or equipment (no specific template is required).
